Planning is in full swing for the Twin Rivers Quilters Guild’s biennial quilt show.  We are excited
to return to the New Bern Riverfront Convention Center for our show, October 25 and 26, 2019.
We challenge all guild members, fellow quilters and community members to fill the convention
center with their amazing quilted treasures highlighting the talent here in Eastern North Carolina.
Let your artistry, your compassion, your struggle, your growth and your beauty shine as we come
together as a community to host a beautiful quilt show and celebrate the resilience of our
community.

QUILT SHOW SPEAKER AND OTHER ACTIVITIES

On Friday and Saturday, Lynn Gorges, Textile Conservator and Restoration Specialist, will discuss
Sanitary Commission Quilts. These quilts were made in the North for Civil War wounded soldiers
hospitalized right in New Bern. Lynn will explore this fascinating history Friday at 2:00 p.m. &
again on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m.

All lectures take place in the Berne room upstairs. They are free, entry is included in
the show admission fee.

Come out to view over 300 quilts on display, multiple vendors, special exhibits, the famous Twice
Around Treasures Booth (which has moved upstairs for the added space!), the exclusive Guild
Boutique and even take a quilt home from the Quilts for Sale booth.

The guild’s gorgeous 2020 Raffle Quilt will be revealed during this show!!
